What is true Friendship?

Its holding hands when the souls meet,
Its the fusion of, two heart beats.

Its beyond any demarcations,
Its beyond any boundations.

Its understanding when nobody speak
Its giving strength when one gets weak

Without words all thoughts and desires shared,
Without speaking everything cared

Its unconditional and true,
Day by day it grows anew.

Its beautiful,its divine,
Its love to enshrine

Its forgiving with no condition,
Its loving with full devotion

Its a feeling true and unselfish,
Its giving hope when someone is in anguish

Its liking with no reason,
Sharing smiles every season.

Can we stop beggary in India?

Several times when we meet a beggar on our way,we are compelled to think whether we should help him or not? Its really difficult to ignore a poor pleading face and walk away. Many times we are faced with begging scams..One lady shares her experience-“Once a rikshaw puller came to us asking for help , his leg was badly bruised and bleeding ,he said that he was bitten by a dog.we collected money for his treatment, one person sat in his rikshaw and went to the doctor,as she got down from rikshaw ,he asked to wait and to her surprise he vanished with all the money…later it was found that he had cheated many like that….now who will trust them.” Begging has become a part-time job for some..”A lady used to take her mother-in-law to the temple in the morning ,make some space for her there outside somewhere under shed(begging luxuriously) and take her back in the evening, saying what would she do the whole day sitting at home, atleast she has earned some money”.Some beggars become so rich begging that they start hiring other beggars.Begging has become more of a profession today. Some beggars move to metro cities as they have more earning opportunities there.

According to a survey, there are around 7.3 lakh beggars across India.Beggary is an equally important social issue which needs to be taken care of and shouldn’t be ignored. We as a part of society have social responsibility towards it.

1)We shouldn’t give alms to young beggars, they are capable of working.Giving them alms we are encouraging them to beg.

2)Children also shouldn’t be given alms as they are sent by their parents and this will encourage their parents to earn their livelihood in this way.

3)Also there are beggars who ask on the name of religion, taking advantage of religious sentiments of Indian people. They should be strictly restrained.

4)Give them in kind not in cash. You can give food to a hungry person.

5)If you really want to help, then help them in such a way that benefits them most for ex-you can contact NGOs and be a volunteer by helping them providing free education. eg-

6)NGOs should come together and work on rehabilitation of such people by providing them some means of work.

7)Old people who are forsaken by their wards should be moved to old age homes.

All these measures may not complete free our country from beggars, but to some extent will surely help.So what more ways do you suggest to tackle this problem?

Teaching thoughts

Teaching gives me immense pleasure, whether it be a nursery kid or a college student, the enthusiasm is same. After getting MCA degree I chose to join an IT firm which almost everybody does.Initial months were more of learning and adjusting in such a professional environment.

The first lesson of professionalism given on very first day was to address your seniors by their names,no didis and bhaiyas. At first it appeared quiet impolite to me,we are always taught from our childhood days to respect our elders and suddenly a new rule was really difficult to digest.

Then training period began, my friend was given mainframe and me java batch. Now we both were more concerned in being in same batch rather than thinking of the technology..girls are too funny(how mad we were). We talked to the concerned authority for keeping us in the same batch, now who will take care of emotions of two silly, poor friends in such a professional world. It was silly too.Sometimes we become unnecessary emotional.

After the training was over, the real professional world came in.A new character boss came in with his furious deadlines, strict working hours no place for sympathy, warning if we don’t complete our deadlines he will give poor grades.Everybody is working there just to improve his grades and get promotion as early as possible on any cost.

Then after 2 years I joined teaching in college and the world out there is completely different,i don’t work hard there to improve my grades but to improve the grades of my students. While teaching I get so engrossed that i forget everything,i get immense happiness with my students.

A teacher can never be professional, whatever a teacher does should be in sole benefit of the student.A teacher should be more like a friend so that students can easily share their problems, she should enjoy teaching because only then students can get interest in her subject. You all must have noticed that a good teacher or favorite teacher makes a subject favorite. In my school days I liked my english teacher most and the subject too because of her and hated drawing teacher because she used to throw away my copy for not making a good drawing.I have seen some teachers who out of their some personal problems with the students deduct their marks or some teachers who force the students to join their tuitions.Such teachers are not true to be called teachers because a teacher can’t be selfish.A teachers sole purpose is to work only for the best of the students with no selfish interest.May our country produces more of  good teachers, teachers play a great role in development of the society and make a better nation.

The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires.
